We are seeking a highly skilled Content Writer/Editor who will be responsible for producing compelling, SEO-optimized content while managing a team of journalists and building out our news portal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation, editing, and search engine optimization, with experience managing content distribution across multiple channels.


Job Overview:

As a Senior Content Writer, you will develop content strategies, write engaging copy, and ensure high-quality content that aligns with marketing goals. You’ll collaborate with marketing, design, and SEO teams to create blogs, articles, website copy, email campaigns, and social media content. Additionally, you will manage a team of journalists, overseeing content submissions for our news portal and ensuring they meet editorial and SEO standards. The ideal candidate will have strong content marketing, SEO expertise, and experience managing journalists.


Key Responsibilities:


Content Creation & Editing:

  • Write, edit, and optimize content for our blog, website, and external article posts, ensuring all content aligns with SEO best practices.
  • Conduct keyword research to inform content strategies, ensuring our content ranks well in search engines.
  • Ensure all content is engaging, well-researched, and optimized for user experience and search engine visibility.
  • Maintain a consistent publication schedule, ensuring high-quality weekly posts.


News Portal Development:

  • Build and develop our news portal by establishing relationships with journalists and industry experts.
  • Oversee the editorial process for articles and news submissions, with a focus on SEO optimization and content quality.
  • Manage a team of journalists, ensuring timely, accurate, and optimized content contributions.
  • Edit and approve all submitted content to ensure it adheres to quality, accuracy, and SEO standards.


Research & SEO Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, news topics, and competitive landscapes, using SEO tools to identify content gaps and opportunities.
  • Perform regular SEO audits to improve content ranking and identify areas for optimization.
  • Implement SEO strategies across content pieces, including keyword integration, meta tags, headers, and link building.


Content Strategy & Distribution:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute SEO-driven content distribution strategies across multiple channels.
  • Ensure content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and follows best practices for content distribution.
  • Monitor SEO performance and use insights to refine content strategies and improve search engine rankings.


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to ensure content aligns with overall business and SEO goals.
  • Provide editorial feedback and mentorship to contributors, ensuring content adheres to SEO standards.


Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Chief Editor, Senior Editor, or similar role.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Background in journalism or high-level content production.
  • Ability to lead an editorial team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz.
  • Previous experience in developing news articles, press releases, or media content.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
