Lead Engineer, Technology Quality Assurance

What you’ll do on a typical day:Lead the development and implementation of automation testing frameworks using WebDriverIO, Appium, and TypeScript.Automating UI and API interactions using tools such as Selenium/Playwright (preferred), Rest Assured (optional), and programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.Design, develop, and maintain efficient test scripts for mobile applications to ensure high quality and performance.Mentor and lead a team of Mobile QA engineers, providing guidance on automation best practices and tools in mobile testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure understanding of testing goals and objectives.Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency in automated tests and test framework development.Monitor and report on test execution results; analyze and communicate defects and failures to relevant stakeholders.Continuously evaluate and improve the automation testing process for better efficiency and effectiveness.What you need to succeed at XPO:9+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role, with at least 2 years in a lead position.Proven experience as a Lead, Automation QA with expertise in mobile automation testing.Experience automating UI and API interactions using tools such as Selenium/Playwright (preferred), Rest Assured (optional), and programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.Strong proficiency in WebDriverIO, Appium, and TypeScript or any other relevant programming language for building and maintaining test automation frameworks.In-depth knowledge of mobile application testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices.Experience leading small to medium-sized testing teams and mentoring junior QA engineers.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.Be part of something big
