Informatica Developer

Job Description: As an ETL Informatica Developer, Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse. Candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, perform data analysis, and ensure data quality and integrity. This role requires expertise in ETL Informatica, Oracle SQL, data analysis, and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data from heterogeneous sources into the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into ETL specifications.
- Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues and recommend data cleansing and transformation rules.
- Write SQL queries and scripts to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
- Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes, including data mappings, transformations, and workflows.
- Perform unit testing and debugging of ETL processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the database administration team to optimize ETL performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Support the development of data models and data architecture to ensure scalability and data integrity.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely updates on project progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience as an ETL Informatica Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in ETL Informatica PowerCenter, including designing mappings, transformations, and workflows.
- Sound knowledge of Oracle SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying from relational databases.
- Experience with data analysis and data profiling techniques.
- Familiarity with data modelling concepts and dimensional data warehouse design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell scripting or Python is desirable but not mandatory.
