Quidich Innovation Labs is a global company headquartered in Mumbai, India that pioneers in customized technology solutions for Sports Broadcast. Building on this thinking, we have created various technology tools over the past five years and deployed them at tournaments such as the Indian Premier League, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ICC Women’s World Cup, and Men's FIH Hockey World Cup, to name a few.
Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer with expertise in software and application development and maintaining software systems critical for broadcasting live sports events. You will be responsible to architect scalable and reliable solutions, lead development efforts, ensure quality through testing, optimize performance for high demand, implement security measures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also mentor junior engineers, stay updated with industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the viewer experience. Overall, your role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and innovation of the broadcasting platform.
Responsibilities
- Software Development: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions using React JS and Node.js.
- DevOps and Infrastructure: Implementing and maintaining DevOps practices, ensuring efficient and automated deployment pipelines. Utilizing AWS services for scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Front-end Development: Leverage React JS for the development of modern and responsive user interfaces.
- Database Management: Designing and implementing MongoDB database frameworks to manage and store relevant data. Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity.
- Computer Vision Development: Designing and implementing computer vision algorithms and models using Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and DeepStream.
- Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Drive innovation and best practices within the team.
- Agile Development: Working in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. Collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- 5- 7 Years of proven experience as a Software Development Engineer or a similar role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Good to have experience in computer vision, with a focus on Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and DeepStream.
- Strong proficiency in software development, including expertise in React JS and Node.js.
- Experience in DevOps practices, ensuring efficient and automated deployment pipelines.
- Database design and management skills, with excellent knowledge of MongoDB and other popular database frameworks.
- AWS experience, with the ability to design and implement scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
- Agile development experience, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
