About the Company: Established in 1962, it has grown to become the largest Brake manufacturer in India today. Headquartered in Chennai, it has three main divisions; Brake division, Foundry division and Polymer division. It is the largest component manufacturing company within the TVS group.Job Responsibilities:1. Supervision of GST and other Indirect Taxes and related compliances.2. Dealing with GST audits/assessments for the entire company, includingreplying to Show cause Notices and other questionnaires.3. Attending Personal hearings4. Coordinating with Legal Counsels for filing of appeals before various authorities5. Review of schedules for Statutory auditSkill Sets1. Sound knowledge on GST including the day-to-day changes made by theAuthorities.2. Good drafting and interpretation skills3. Ability to put through the points to convince adjudicating authorities.Incumbent should have strong knowledge of GST Act and Rules and be capable ofhandling assessments across various states. Should possess managerial skills andbe able to enforce compliance across various locations.Academic Qualification:A Chartered Accountant / Law Graduate with 12-15 years of experience in handlingerstwhile Excise Duty/Service Tax and GST from its introduction, & preferably havingexposure to Customs Duty and DGFT rules/ FTP statement.
