***HIRING***I am looking for Data Engineers to work on a short 10 week contract for one of my clients in Abu Dhabi. This role is fully remote and may extend beyond the end of the contract.Job Title – Data Engineer / Data ModelerSalary / Day Rate – USD 290 – USD 310 Per DayContract Length – 10 WeeksLocation – Fully RemoteStart Date – ASAP – Subject to Security Clearance.I am looking for an experienced Data Engineer who is a SQL, Data Modelling expert and will design, build, and maintain the data platform using medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers). You will be responsible for developing robust data pipelines, implementing data transformations, creating analytical data models, and ensuring data quality across the platform. This role requires deep expertise in SQL, modern data engineering practices and tools, with deployment in an on-premises environmentResponsibilitiesYou’re an expert in SQL and can comprehend, write hard SQL queries comfortablyYou know about SQL performance optimization techniques and follow best practices when writing SQL queriesDesign and implement end-to-end data pipelines following medallion architecture patterns (bronze, silver, gold layers)Build and optimize data transformations using SQL for large-scale data processingExpert developing dimensional data models , aggregations , and KPI calculations in the gold layer for analytics consumptionImplement data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems including databases, APIs, and file-based sourcesCreate and maintain data transformation logic using transformation frameworksDesign and implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring across all pipeline stagesBuild and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration toolsRequirementsStrong experience in data engineering building production-grade data pipelines and writing SQL queries.Advanced SQL skills including complex queries, window functions, CTEs, and query performance tuning.Strong understanding of dimensional modelling , star schemas, and data warehousing concepts.Strong expertise in building data pipelines and query optimizationStrong proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks and automationHands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools: Apache Airflow, Dagster, or PrefectExperience with data lake storage formats: Delta Lake, Parquet, or IcebergExperience with data quality frameworks and implementing validation rules at scale; familiarity with Great Expectations or similar data quality testing frameworksExperience deploying and managing data platforms in on-premises environments.Regards,Ollie
