Job Description

Tekion empowers Product teams to solve meaningful customer and business problems in innovative ways. We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to define and drive the vision for Master Vehicle Data Object, which would connect with all Tekion Applications, and provide enriched vehicle data, after compiling from various sources. This role is ideal for someone who understands data, master objects, integrations with various sources, cleansing, normalization and standardization of various data points, that matter to automotive dealers and OEMs, and who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, data optimization, and AI-powered insights. The data object will be key to our Analytics, ML and AI product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Tekion’s product and engineering teams, as well as external partners such as dealers, to thoroughly assess and address the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment on data strategy across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure scalable and high-quality data services.
  • Exhibit deep expertise in master data objects, including proficiency in standardizing and normalizing information from diverse sources to ensure optimal data quality.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of user expectations, ensuring that various applications can efficiently utilize relevant data points in accordance with user workflows.
  • Engage with customers at all organizational levels to identify and analyze their challenges regarding data accuracy within workflow processes.
  • Document specific business challenges faced by clients using quantifiable metrics and communicate these insights clearly to engineering, marketing, sales, and other key teams.
  • Coordinate with internal product teams to establish aligned priorities and continuously refine data consumption processes.
  • Support the overall product strategy, fulfil customer requirements, and contribute to enhancing AI Agent automation within Vehicle Inventory Management workflows.
  • Define and take ownership of the product roadmap for inventory data objects across the platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Guarantee high standards of data accuracy, integrity, and privacy compliance throughout all inventory management features.
  • Oversee master data consumption via open or internal APIs and work in close collaboration with engineering architects to ensure effective end-to-end data pipeline design.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) criteria for all related processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and product success metrics to inform ongoing improvements and iterations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years of product management experience, including at least three years specializing in data, master objects, or inventory management.
  • Advanced degree from a top-tier MBA program or from Engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and deploying data-driven features for B2B or SaaS platforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data architecture and associated technical tools.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, particularly within cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, compliance, and privacy frameworks.
  • Skilled at anticipating user requirements and proactively recognizing areas for product enhancement.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional user experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the automotive retail industry or with dealer/ OEM data.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven predictive insights.
