About us Finigami is an IIT-Bombay alumni-founded startup offering technology products and services for large enterprises in the finance space. We are a small team that loves working on interesting engineering challenges. Our clients span across 3 countries: India, US and UAE. Role Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team to design, build, and maintain a scalable web application using Java Spring Boot and React.js. This role includes team management and technical oversight, ideal for a leader with a strong technical background and a passion for mentoring. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership : Hire, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers. Project Management : Drive timelines and deliverables to align with business goals. Technical Oversight : Guide architectural decisions and participate in code reviews. Collaboration : Partner with Product, Design, and QA to scope and prioritize work. Process Improvement : Refine agile practices, CI/CD, and code review processes. Problem Solving : Resolve technical challenges and production issues. Stakeholder Communication : Update stakeholders on project status and any scope changes. Required Skills and Experience: Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience : 7+ years in software development with 3+ years in Java Spring Boot & React.js and 2+ years in engineering leadership. Technical Proficiency : Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, RESTful APIs, and microservices. Agile Methodologies : Strong knowledge of Agile, including Scrum or Kanban. Communication : Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Leadership : Proven ability to mentor and guide teams effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of CI/CD, Dev Ops, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with SQL and No SQL databases.
