Job purpose:

The QA Engineer will be part of the team managing and supporting Nouryon’s Digital Support Devops team. We are seeking a highly skilled QA/Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our Web based enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of QA methodologies, and experience with testing software applications to ensure they are user-friendly, functional, and meet the required specifications.

The team will work in a Devops methodology and team’s efforts will be prioritized and coordinated by the Product Owner /Team Lead /Scrum Master.


About the job (Job Responsibilities)

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate their requirements and understand their need
  • Design and develop test cases and test scripts based on business requirements, both on user experience level and quality of data
  • Execute test scripts and report on outcomes to ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Automate test scripts using end user regression test tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing
  • Actively advocate the capability of testing and be a thought leader in this area to help shape the future of testing
  • Be part of Devops team and is able to commit the efforts required for testing activities
  • Contribute to team agile planning activities and backlog prioritization and management.
  • Identify and escalate any testing issues or risks to the team and provide suggestions for resolution
  • Continuously improve testing processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities
  • Be involved in the Software Development Lifecycle starting from analyzing requirements, maintaining test cases, developing test automation features and testing software - continuously improving these topics.
  • Develop/ support test automation strategy for large complex projects.
  • Develop / support non-functional testing automation strategy for complex projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and develop strategies, frameworks relating to their emerging demands.
  • Driving innovation/adoption of Industry practices through investigation/institutionalization of new tools/methods/standards.
  • Create test documents like: Test Plan, Test Risk Assessments, and Test Results and make sure that they are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders.
  • Participate in estimation of User Stories in Story points.


We believe you bring (Education & Experience)

  • Master / bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in test automation tools such as Selenium, Qualibrate, DBFit, or similar tools.
  • Experience in Cypress ,Load testing (JMeter + Taurus + AzDevOps Pipeline) ,API testing (Postman) ,Azure Test Plans (future) ,GTMetrix / Google Lighthouse § Experience in developing and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Experience working in Agile or Devops teams.
  • Experience in working in ITIL framework.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years working experience
