Senior Formulation Development Lead

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development of innovative products and optimizing existing formulations for regulated markets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define project scope, timelines, and ensure timely completion through periodic monitoring.
  • Lead new formulation execution by investigating API characteristics, defining material characteristics, performing testing, and conducting scale-up studies.
  • Identify resource requirements for projects, including materials, manpower, and equipment.
  • Develop R&D plans and experimental designs using QBD principles.
  • Plan and coordinate lab-scale up/optimization and pilot BE batches while adhering to lab GMP practices.
  • Review lab experiment notebooks, technology transfer documents, and batch manufacturing documents.
  • Liaise with technology transfer teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.
  • Optimize existing product performance by investigating API characteristics and finished products.
  • Monitor stability protocols and evaluate results for product development.
  • Communicate with various departments to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prepare departmental SOPs, manuals, and guidelines documents.
  • Monitor IQ, OQ, and PQ activities for new machines and ensure proper functioning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure proper training of subordinates on equipment, instruments, and systems.
  • Maintain raw materials and finished goods storage and destruction.
  • Participate in departmental audits and ensure compliance to recommendations.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in technology, conceptual thinking, presentation, and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics)
  • Formulation development experience in Solid & Liquid Oral; preferred Pellets project experience.
