About This Role

We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead our Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) compliance initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of our compliance program in alignment with Bermuda equivalent data protection regulations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects, preferably in the financial services sector. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills are essential.

This is a remote position that requires a strong understanding of data privacy regulations (PIPA, GDPR, or similar). As the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies, you will serve as the bridge between these groups to ensure seamless implementation and compliance tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of the PIPA compliance framework across all business units.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against PIPA requirements.
  • Work with Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
  • Oversee the development of data mapping and inventory to identify all personal data processed by the organization.
  • Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects in the financial services sector.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy regulations (PIPA, GDPR, or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable business processes.
