Job Description:

The role of an Instrument and Electrical Specialist involves leading the effort to develop, assign and manage maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment. This includes developing and assigning appropriate equipment strategy to support asset reliability.

The primary point of contact for this role will oversee equipment strategy assignment, collaborate with team members, and ensure project success. Key responsibilities include performing engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology, reviewing and updating equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.

Key skills and qualifications for this role include a strong understanding of asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management, as well as knowledge of preventive, predictive, condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets. Standardization of instrumentation maintenance procedures and test intervals across similar asset classes is also a key responsibility.

Additional skills required for this role include knowledge of hazardous area classification and international instrumentation standards, as well as skilled instrument maintenance techniques with an understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, and various field instruments.
