Academic Leadership in Product Design

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced leader to assume a key role at our institution.

  • In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing academic programs that align with the school's mission and vision.
  • You will supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development, ensuring they have the necessary resources to excel.
  • The successful candidate will conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and remains relevant.
  • Collaboration with other departments within the design school and beyond is essential to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • You will oversee student recruitment efforts, working closely with the Career Advancement Service team to attract top talent.
  • Effective planning and management of department resources will be crucial for discussion and approval processes.
  • Broadening academic engagements through industry partnerships is a key aspect of this role, including guest lectures, master classes, conferences, and design festivals.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, such as UGC and NAAC, and the ability to document compliance effectively, is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Industrial Design.
  • Total 15+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Deep knowledge of current trends and developments in Industrial Design.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders effectively.
