Job Description

The Finance and Controlling Module Lead is a pivotal role within the IT SAP Global Center of Excellence. This position plays a crucial part in the overall IT SAP COE structure.

This expert in SAP, specifically Finance & Controlling processes, is responsible for setting and managing the organization's SAP IT landscape in alignment with business requirements of the Finance Department. They possess strong cross-module knowledge and support the overall SAP transformation journey.

The successful candidate will drive SAP solution architecture and business design for the Finance Organization, while strengthening partnerships with other module leads. Reporting to the Solution Architect – Finance & GRC, this individual serves as the key contact person (SPOC) for the business team/On-Site IT Team for SAP-related matters, particularly in Finance and Controlling.

This role involves liaising between the IT SAP COE Team, Business Technology Partners, Business, and professional services delivery resources, which include both in-house and partner-delivered services.

As a member of the IT SAP COE, the Finance and Controlling Module Lead will also be responsible for setting standards, defining best practices, and engaging in research and innovation. They will work on delivery projects, shaping SAP architectural design, and providing architectural quality assurance across multiple programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education & Certification:
    • Master's degree or equivalent in a related field to the area of responsibility
    • Advanced degree preferred (MBA Finance)
    • Certification in SAP: Preferred (FI/CO Module)
  • Experience:
    • Must have 10+ years of overall SAP experience with strong functional knowledge of Sales, Manufacturing, or other Enterprise processes using SAP with specialization in Finance and Controlling Module
    • Minimum of 7 years prior experience in managing a large-scale SAP-related program in the capacity of Module Lead
  • Key Skills:
    • SAP S4/Hana – At least 2-3 Implementation Projects (Green Field or Migration)
    • Strong knowledge of Parallel Accounting, Transfer Pricing, and Material Ledger functionality in SAP
    • Knowledge of SAP FI/CO Module, Knowledge of interaction between FICO and other modules like MM, SD, PP etc.
    • Global Experience in terms of Legal requirements specially Tax, Banking, Electronic Reporting
    • Accounts Payable – Shared Services
    • Group Reporting
    • Deep knowledge of diverse areas of technology including ERP, Master Data, Electronic Banking, FSCM etc.
    • Deep knowledge of SAP technical and functional architecture, data model along with new and emerging SAP capabilities.
    • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or life science industry preferred.
    • Experience in fast-paced global multinational matrix organization
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence business team members / stakeholders and manage project teams.
    • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
