Embedded Cybersecurity Specialist

Our organization seeks a skilled Embedded Cybersecurity Specialist to ensure the security of runtime codebase and architecture in industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with the runtime Cybersecurity Advisor/Coach to develop secure development lifecycle (SDL) and meet internal and external cybersecurity standards.
  • They will provide cybersecurity expertise through guidance, architecting, designing, and threat model mentoring to team members during the development cycle.
  • Evaluation, tracking, and resolution of product and runtime cybersecurity issues and related technical debt in 3rd party packages are also key responsibilities.
  • Furthermore, they will be responsible for managing and utilizing tools for static and dynamic code analysis and Software Composition Analysis in 3rd party packages and the current code base.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have 8 - 12 years of experience in code development for multitask embedded systems running on Linux, VxWorks/RTOS, and Windows.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in object-oriented design (C/C++) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell), are necessary.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity issues common to C/C++ and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures is also essential.
  • Familiarity with Open-source software (OSS), Git, GitHub, Debian GNU/Linux, and Ubuntu is desirable.

This position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. The successful candidate should be able to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams, aligning best-in-class processes and coding standards.
