Electronic Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Design Engineer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have both software development and design experience, with a strong understanding of electronic component standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CAD libraries, including schematic symbols, footprints, and parametric data.
  • Generate footprints for surface mount devices, through-hole components, connectors, and complex IC packages as per industry standards.
  • Validate bills of materials, electrical attributes, package information, and component descriptions.
  • Process new part requests using product lifecycle management systems and maintain library updates.
  • Cross-check datasheets, schematics, and footprints to ensure accuracy in pin sequencing and package details.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
  • Maintain documentation, follow standard naming conventions, and ensure smooth integration with computer-aided design/manufacturing tools.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • CAD Tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Expedition, OrCAD/Capture CIS.
  • PLM Systems: Windchill, Target PLM, Teamcenter, Cockpit Server.
  • Standards & Compliance:
    • IPC-7351 for footprint creation and validation.
    • RoHS and REACH compliance understanding.
  • Library Management:
    • Creation and maintenance of schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
    • BOM validation and part numbering systems.
    • Use of footprint calculators like LP Wizard and Footprint Expert.
