Job Description

We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices that drive our core flows.

You will own critical backend systems that power bookings, payments, collar telemetry ingestion, medical records, and marketplace workflows. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of technical challenges and make a significant impact on our business.

Requirements
  • 2–4 years building production backend systems with Node.js (TypeScript) and frameworks like Express/Nest.
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB: schema design, indexing, query optimisation.
  • Practical knowledge of caching (Redis) and message queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS).
  • Cloud experience (GCP or AWS) — deploying services, setting up infra, and managing costs.
  • Familiarity with Docker and basic orchestration concepts (Kubernetes experience is a plus).
  • Practical understanding of security best practices: tokens, encryption in transit/at rest, OWASP risks.
  • Track record of owning features end-to-end and shipping in a fast, iterative environment.
