Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our organization. As a leading provider of technology consulting and scalable engineering solutions, we specialize in cloud, big data, AI/ML, and digital transformation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Extraction & Analysis:
    • Work with Google BigQuery and Google SQL to query and manipulate large datasets.
    • Develop scripts in Python, Go, or Perl to extract, transform, and update datasets efficiently.
    • Experience with MapReduce frameworks is an advantage.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Build reports and dashboards using Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio.
    • Create effective visualizations to present findings and communicate insights clearly.
  • Problem Solving & Pipeline Development:
    • Identify data engineering requirements and design scalable data pipelines.
    • Use data to propose solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Analyze SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance query performance.
    • Apply techniques such as Indexing, Partitioning, Parallel Processing, Caching, Efficient Storage Formats (Parquet/ORC), and In-memory Computing.
  • Scheduling & Automation:
    • Schedule and manage workflows using tools like Airflow, Dreampipe, or similar job schedulers.
  • Release Engineering:
    • Support on-demand and scheduled release management processes for data pipelines.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Google Cloud stack and experience working with large datasets. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively are essential for this role.
