Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network operations while handling system administration tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support Layer 2 (switching) and Layer 3 (routing) network infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Handle VLANs, trunking, STP, port security, and link aggregation.
  • Assist in escalated issues from L1 engineers and coordinate with vendors if required.
  • Perform periodic network health checks, patching, and firmware upgrades.
  • Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in networking and system administration roles.
  • Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, QoS).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/HP/Aruba switches and routers.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Mac system administration.
  • Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, etc.).
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, system administration, and virtualization. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is a plus. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and training where needed.
