Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs. This role demands strong coding expertise, system design skills, and experience in building high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs
  • Implement server-side logic, databases, and data storage solutions
  • Optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks; implement caching and load balancing
  • Ensure backend security against common threats
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure coding best practices
  • Develop and run unit, integration, and performance tests
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain uptime reliability

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Rust
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Expertise in RESTful and GraphQL API design
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of Git, version control, and branching strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills
