Senior Data Engineering Lead

We seek a highly skilled and experienced data engineering leader to oversee our analytics team.

  • About the Role:
  • Leverage your expertise in data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and BI to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices for data engineering, SQL, and workflow automation.
  • Establish governance and standards for data delivery, model deployment, and monitoring.
  • Lead the development of executive-level dashboards and operational reporting tools.
  • Prioritize and manage a backlog of data requests with clear SLAs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and enforce data quality standards.
  • Drive innovation through the adoption of cloud platforms, ML model deployment, and automated workflows.
  • Oversee a small team (2–4 engineers) with responsibility for prioritization, quality, and development.
  • Conduct regular reviews, mentorship, and skill development.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the analytics team.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, BI, or related fields.
  • Advanced SQL, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration skills.
  • Strong BI expertise (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with ML model deployment (batch pipelines, monitoring, scheduling).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Experience with workflow automation (Airflow, dbt, n8n, CI/CD).
  • Prior experience in leading small teams and stakeholder management.
