A cutting-edge Next-Generation Search Platform is being developed to revolutionize static search into a guided, personalized experience. Users will see tailored 'swimlanes' of content, recommendations, and engagement features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain scalable backend services on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway) for search, feedback, tasks, and analytics.
  • Implement advanced search and retrieval features in OpenSearch (keyword + vector search, ranking).
  • Develop pipelines to enrich content with tags, lay terms, and related data.
  • Capture user interaction signals (clicks, ratings, dwell time) and process them for re-ranking and analytics.
  • Develop and document APIs for use by web, iOS, and Android clients.
  • Evaluate performance targets (e.g., < 2.5s retrieval time) and compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience building backend services with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis).
  • Hands-on knowledge of OpenSearch/Elasticsearch (indexing, search queries).
  • Experience designing and scaling APIs (REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and basic data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or Node.js preferred).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices; exposure to compliance-sensitive environments.
