Job Description
As a seasoned automation test engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our APIs. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using Python. Additionally, you will set up and enhance automation frameworks such as PyTest and Robot Framework. Your expertise in developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for validating API functionalities will be instrumental in identifying defects and improving overall product quality.

In this role, you will also perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on APIs. You will identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools, and collaborate with developers and other QA team members for issue resolution. Moreover, you will ensure integration of API tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and continuously monitor and improve automation coverage and test execution reliability.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in QA automation with Python focused on API testing. They possess hands-on experience with automation frameworks like PyTest or Robot Framework, and are familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and defect lifecycle, as well as excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential for success in this role.

Preferred qualifications include exposure to the payments domain including UPI, Biller systems, and wallets, as well as experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
