Our team seeks a skilled UI/UX Designer to develop and implement effective design strategies for our KhetPe platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the design strategy and user experience of our digital products, focusing on creating simple, trustworthy, and impactful interfaces that meet farmer-centric needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain design systems, UI patterns, and style guides to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Translate product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and Miro.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to convert epics and user stories into design deliverables with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct end-to-end user research: interviews, field visits, surveys, and usability testing with farmers, FPOs, and partners.
  • Champion UX for rural contexts: vernacular flows, low-bandwidth/offline-first design, accessibility, and culturally relevant trust cues.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure pixel-perfect handoff, clarity on design specifications, and smooth implementation.
  • Run design experiments (A/B testing, prototypes) and analyze outcomes to optimize key funnels (onboarding, engagement, transactions).
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor interfaces, and evolving UX best practices to keep KhetPe ahead.
  • Report weekly on design progress, open issues, and risks; ensure alignment with Product and Engineering teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years designing for mobile-first products at scale.
  • Proven experience shipping rural customer-facing or mass-market apps with measurable adoption and engagement impact.
  • Hands-on experience conducting field research and usability testing with diverse user groups.
  • Expertise in Figma / Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.
  • Strong command of information architecture, interaction design, and visual hierarchy.
  • User research, usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative design practices.
  • Familiarity with design for low-bandwidth, multilingual, and offline-first contexts.
  • Ability to create design systems and scalable UI libraries.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and awareness of front-end engineering constraints.
