We are seeking a highly skilled structural geologist to fill a critical role in our team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in structural geology, with a strong background in upstream oil and gas. They will be responsible for mapping regional and local structural fault frameworks using seismic data, as well as performing basic knowledge of geomechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • MAPPING OF REGIONAL AND LOCAL STRUCTURAL FAULT FRAMEWORK (2D AND 3D) USING SEISMIC DATA IS ESSENTIAL FOR UNDERSTANDING GEOLOGICAL PROCESSES.
  • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF GEOMECHANICS WITH FOCUS ON STRESS AND STRAIN ANALYSIS, ROCK MECHANICS, AND FLUID FLOW IS REQUIRED TO MAP REGIONAL AND LOCAL STRUCTURAL FAULT FRAMEWORKS.
  • PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN FAULT FRAMEWORK ANALYSIS, GENERATION OF STRUCTURAL CROSS-SECTIONS AND STRUCTURAL MAPS IS ALSO DESIRED.
Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in geology or earth science, specializing in structural geology or basin analysis, is required.

This position requires the ability to analyze complex geological data and make informed decisions. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
