Key Animator and Rigging Mentor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Animator to provide expert guidance, direction, and training to our artists, particularly in Animation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for Autodesk Maya & Blender Software focusing on Film and Advertising applications.
  • Mentor Animators and Riggers on various animation styles including realistic, cartoonish, and stylized techniques.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate Autodesk Maya with Blender or vice versa, ensuring seamless workflows.
  • Teach effective rig creation and adaptation to animation styles.
  • Share experience as an accomplished Animator and Rigger in global cinema.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expert mastery of animation and rigging using Blender and Maya software.
  • Flexibility in applying animation principles.
  • Strong understanding of animation workflows and pipelines.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to adapt animation style according to project requirements.
  • Understanding of anatomy and deformation concepts.
  • Experience in creating rigs for animators.
  • Strong communication skills for effective mentorship and review of junior animators.

  • Results-driven and collaborative individual.
  • Excellent communicator able to provide regular reviews remotely.
  • Skilled in designing training assignments and providing actionable feedback.
  • Available to answer questions via chat.
  • Flexible with part-time work (5-10 hours/week).
  • Remote work only, preferably with minimal commute time.
