Leading Expert in VFX Mentorship

As a renowned VFX mentor, we seek an experienced professional to lead our team in delivering exceptional visual effects for Japanese films. With a strong background in Hollywood film productions, the ideal candidate will provide expert guidance and direction to our artists.

The successful mentor will be responsible for providing comprehensive training on Houdini software, including basic to advanced levels. Key areas of focus include RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.

  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance individual skills and knowledge among in-house VFX artists.
  • Provide insights into global cinema as a seasoned VFX artist, enabling artists to gain a deeper understanding of industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a VFX Supervisor in film, animation, or TV series production is essential.
  • Expertise in overall VFX workflow and production process is crucial.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with Houdini software is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles, preferably in Nuke, is necessary.
  • Baseline knowledge of Blender workflow is desirable.
  • A solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini is vital.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills are required.
  • Strong artistic skills with attention to detail are essential.
  • High enthusiasm and creativity are expected.
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory.
