Plant Operations and Engineering Lead

Description:

We are seeking a Plant Operations and Engineering Lead to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure smooth running of plant machinery and utilities to meet production targets.
  • Monitor Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) to identify and eliminate bad actors, thereby improving plant reliability and availability.
  • Implement effective preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Plan and oversee equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, and utility operations.
Project Management:
  • Develop and manage project plans and budgets for project activities and ensure timely completion.
  • Implement best engineering practices and manage documentation for new installations, changes, or modifications in engineering systems.
Energy Management:
  • Identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives and develop strategies for successful implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in utility efficiency and cost savings.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to electricity, boilers, weights & measures, etc.
  • Represent the engineering function during regulatory audits and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Participate in Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Manage engineering budgets including project and operational expenditure.
  • Control and reduce maintenance and project costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and provide proper training of subordinates in technical and compliance-related areas.
  • Promote best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
