Tendering Specialist Job Overview

Role Profile:

We are seeking an experienced Tendering Specialist to identify, prepare and submit tenders for infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of contract conditions, pricing strategies and government portals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Tender Identification & Evaluation
    • • Track government and private e-procurement portals daily for relevant tenders.
    • • Evaluate eligibility criteria, scope of work and risks before participating.
    • • Prepare tender synopsis and present feasibility reports to management.
    • Tender Preparation & Submission
      • • Coordinate with estimation, design, finance and legal teams for inputs.
      • • Compile technical & financial bids as per client requirements.
      • • Ensure timely submission of bids (online/offline) with complete documentation.
      • Cost Estimation & Pricing
        • • Work with the estimation team to prepare competitive pricing.
        • • Analyze BOQ, material, manpower and subcontracting requirements.
        • • Recommend pricing strategies based on competitor analysis.
        • Liaison & Coordination
          • • Coordinate with government bodies, consultants and clients for clarifications.
          • • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits and client interactions.
          • • Follow-up on tender results and maintain relationships with authorities.
          • Documentation & Compliance
            • • Maintain updated vendor registrations, certificates and statutory compliances.
            • • Ensure adherence to legal, tax and technical documentation in tenders.
            • • Maintain tender MIS reports, success ratios and competitor insights.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Business Administration.
  • • 5–8 years experience in tendering/contracts in infrastructure/construction sector.
  • • Strong knowledge of EPC, PPP, BOT tendering models.
  • • Proficiency in government e-procurement portals (CPPP, IREPS, GEM, etc.).
  • • Excellent MS Excel, MS Project and documentation skills.
