Database Tester Role

As a highly skilled database tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test cases to validate database logic and ensure data accuracy.
  • Write complex SQL queries to optimize database performance and resolve issues.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems using Microsoft Excel formulas and pivot tables.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
  • Prepare detailed test documentation, including test cases, execution results, and defect reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on database testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing queries, joins, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Strong experience in data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems.
  • At least mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reporting).
  • Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to handle client interactions independently.
