We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team and bring expertise in database engineering.

Job Description

This is a highly critical role that involves designing, implementing, and maintaining high availability databases in various environments. As a key member of the Development Team, you will work closely with developers to optimize queries, stored procedures, and schema design for high transaction systems.

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases in Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Configure RAC, ASM, and clustering for high availability.
  • Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity.

You will be responsible for monitoring database health and availability using OEM and custom monitoring scripts, performing advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management.

  • Utilize AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for performance diagnostics and tuning.
  • Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation.

In addition, you will design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC, configure and manage standby databases for DR readiness, and validate backup integrity and conduct regular DR drills.

  • Implement data encryption, access control policies, and security standards aligned with regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage database auditing, logging, and compliance reporting.

You will also develop shell scripts, PL/SQL scripts, and Ansible/Terraform playbooks to automate recurring DBA tasks and integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Partner with developers to optimize database performance and schema design.
  • Support database integration in microservices architectures and APIs.

This role requires strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, and SQL & PL/SQL development.

  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting (AWR, ASH, ADDM) and Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted Oracle DB solutions and DevOps practices and tools.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
