Job Opportunity for a Contractual Role

Job Description

The Global Financial Reporting team is responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting of the consolidated organization and its legal entities. They are also in charge of liquidity and funding control, accounting and regulatory policy and advisory, controllership of the organization's infrastructure areas, and management of the Finance risk and change programs.

The Intercompany Controllers team performs a range of functions including daily reporting of unsecured funding loan balances, monthly substantiation of interest P&L and balance sheet, and facilitating the settlement of intercompany balances.

The successful individual will work as part of the Intercompany Controller team and be involved in the following tasks:

  • Daily / Weekly Responsibilities: Set up infrastructure for the funding renovation initiative. Review daily controls, remediate breaks/issues, submit daily unsecured funding loan balance reporting, validate and sign-off of daily P/L and currency hedging, and escalate significant issues and proposed resolutions.
  • Monthly / Quarterly Responsibilities: Prepare month end journals, prepare monthly intercompany settlements ahead of processing, and prepare various monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Project/Ad hoc Responsibilities: Support other initiatives to enhance processes and workflows, interact with Corporate Treasury, Operations, IT, and other key finance groups, and frequent interaction with global Treasury Capital Markets controller teams as needed.

This role involves working on a contractual basis for 12 months. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, leadership qualities, ability to plan and execute against tight timeframes, organizational skill and strategic thinking, analytical mind-set, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-4 years industry experience with a focus on Finance/Controller background, sound MS Office skills with advanced Excel knowledge, and a Graduate, semi-qualified accountant, or MBA finance degree.
