Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a high-performing transportation team to drive operational excellence.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with vendors and stakeholders for seamless logistics solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities and optimize business performance.
  • Oversee cost management, ensuring accurate and timely billing, and maintain optimal fleet efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance and risk mitigation through regular reviews and audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Design customized logistics solutions that meet evolving business needs, including sustainable transportation options.
  • Engage in regular feedback sessions with internal and external customers to gauge service quality and make necessary improvements.
  • Conduct periodic partner reviews to assess their relevance and contribution to business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree/PG Preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in logistics, preferably in a similar capacity.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for tactical and strategic decision-making
  • Ability to handle escalations, complaints, and quality matters as the primary point of contact
  • Capacity to manage ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and work under pressure
  • In-depth knowledge of the transport industry, practices, EXIM, and profitability levers
  • Willinngness to learn and provide cover assistance on an ongoing basis
  • Exemplary leadership skills
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written)
