Job Description
The Legal Manager will oversee the organization's legal requirements and ensure compliance with global and regional laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property rights, and data privacy regulations. They will provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, employment, and data protection laws across multiple regions. The Legal Manager will ensure compliance with local and international regulations, monitor legislative changes globally, and advise management on potential risks and opportunities. They will develop and implement internal legal policies and best practices for the Company and employees. The Legal Manager will manage insurance policies, draft and review contracts, and negotiate agreements with clients, vendors, partners, and employees. They will work closely with business teams to mitigate risks and resolve legal challenges. The Legal Manager will represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and settlements. They will respond to legal notices and regulatory inquiries.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Legal Manager include:
  • Providing legal guidance on corporate, commercial, employment, and data protection laws across multiple regions.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, including GDPR and other data privacy laws applicable to the organisation across countries or states.
  • Monitoring legislative changes globally and advising management on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing internal legal policies and best practices for the Company and employees.
  • Managing the insurance policies of the company, not limited to General Liability, Cyber Security, Director's Liability, etc.
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing Contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with clients, vendors, partners, and employees within the market ecosystem.
