Senior Land Acquisition Specialist

The role of Senior Land Acquisition Specialist involves identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects across Maharashtra. This includes technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence on land ownership and ensure legal sanctity through coordination with legal teams.
  • Lead the end-to-end land acquisition process, including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  • Build relationships with local stakeholders, including landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  • Oversee ROW acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Keep track of local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.
  • Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans to management.

Requirements:

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and knowledge of land acquisition processes. They should be able to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. A deep understanding of regulatory clearances and market conditions is also essential.
