Job Role: Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design and implement scalable, high-performance data transformation pipelines using Snowflake and dbt. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data engineering roles with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake and dbt.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building ingestion pipelines from relational databases, APIs, cloud storage, and flat files into Snowflake, implementing data modelling and transformation logic to support layered architecture, and leveraging orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt Cloud to schedule and monitor data workflows.

In addition to technical skills, the Data Engineer must possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement ELT pipelines in dbt on Snowflake, following best practices.
  • Data Ingestion: Build ingestion pipelines from relational databases, APIs, cloud storage, and flat files into Snowflake.
  • Data Modelling: Implement data modelling and transformation logic to support layered architecture.
  • Workflow Orchestration: Leverage orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt Cloud to schedule and monitor data workflows.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data engineering roles with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake and dbt.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level SQL, strong understanding of ELT principles, familiarity with data quality and validation techniques, experience with Git, CI/CD, and deployment workflows in a team setting.

  • SQL Proficiency: Writing efficient SQL for data transformation and performance tuning in Snowflake.
