Electrical Design Specialist Role

Our client seeks an experienced electrical design specialist to join their team in Bengaluru, India. As an electrical design specialist, you will be responsible for providing consultancy services to clients, including developing and reviewing electrical system designs, conducting feasibility studies, and preparing detailed specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review electrical system designs to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to identify optimal solutions for electrical systems.
  • Prepare detailed specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Evaluate and assess electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support project delivery.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and schedules.
  • Support the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree level qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the nuclear or energy sector.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Eager to learn and develop professionally, with a proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge of protection study and use of ETAP software is desirable.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is desirable.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar CAD/BIM tools is a plus.
