Forensic Medicine Faculty Position

We seek a highly qualified medical professional to fill the role of Faculty Member in the Department of Forensic Medicine at a premier Medical College & Research Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting medico-legal case discussions, supervising research, and ensuring compliance with National Medical Commission (NMC) standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Deliver lectures, practical sessions, autopsy demonstrations, seminars, and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.
  • Research: Undertake original research projects in forensic pathology, toxicology, medical jurisprudence, and allied fields, publish in reputable journals, and collaborate with other departments for interdisciplinary research.
  • Clinical/Medico-Legal Work: Supervise medicolegal autopsies and postmortem examinations, provide expert medico-legal opinion, and liaise with law enforcement and judiciary.
  • Administrative/Leadership: Organize academic events, manage departmental records, and ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and institutional policies.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • MD (Forensic Medicine) with 8 years teaching experience, including 3 years as Associate Professor, plus research publications.
  • MD (Forensic Medicine) with 5 years teaching experience, including 2 years as Assistant Professor, plus research publications.
  • MD (Forensic Medicine) with teaching/research experience as per NMC requirements; publications desirable.
