This squad sits within the Real Commercial tribe, the number one place for commercial property and data in Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lead Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys tackling technical challenges and leading teams to deliver innovative solutions.

As a key strategic role with high visibility, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across the globe, designing, developing, and optimizing features to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.

Some of your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Leading initiatives with strategic focus and value
  • Solving complex technical problems to enable others to learn and extend
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager in setting the technical direction
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members

Our ideal candidate will have well-versed skills in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, and advanced knowledge of data modeling, data pipelines, data consumption, data analysis, and data warehousing.

Able to design solutions that scale and perform for millions of users, they should also possess advanced skills in developing long-term system architecture strategies and modern software development techniques.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to understand business, customer, and consumer needs to provide appropriate data solutions.

Bonus points for experience with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Python libraries, Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS, Airflow, and interacting with REST APIs.
