Job Title: Senior SQL Database Administrator

This role requires an experienced professional to manage and monitor SQL Server versions from 2005 to 2022. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of patching hierarchy, SQL build numbers, and internal database build numbers.

The successful candidate will be skilled in upgrading/migrating SQL Server from older to newer versions, configuring linked servers between same or different SQL Server versions, and setting up contained databases for effective migrations.

Additionally, the candidate will have expertise in configuring recovery models and designing backup strategies, fine-tuning backups using encryption, compression, and special parameters.

They will also have hands-on experience with master, model, msdb, tempdb, and resource database corruptions, as well as skills in configuring HADR features like log shipping, mirroring, clustering, always-on AG, and replication.

Furthermore, the candidate will have expertise in Windows Cluster, Quorum, dynamic quorum, voting mechanism, failovers through cluster administrator, and commands.

They will also have hands-on knowledge of SQL Server Cluster scenarios, including failover, adding disks to existing instances with dependencies, advanced cluster parameters, and patching clustered instances.

  • Key Responsibilities:
