Financial Backboner

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role, with strong knowledge of GST and TDS. Proficiency in Zoho Books or similar systems is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, vendor/customer ledgers
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, billing, and reconciliations
• Ensure timely monthly closures (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Manage statutory compliance - GST, TDS, PT, PF/ESIC filings
• Support audits with schedules and documentation
• Generate MIS reports and provide insights on expenses, collections, and cash flow
• Implement internal controls and process improvements

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting
• 5-7 years' experience in accounting with strong GST/TDS knowledge
• Experience with Zoho Books (preferred) or similar systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently
