Assistant Manager Job Description

This role involves supervising and coordinating the daily functions of a department to ensure protection of property assets, employees, guests, and property. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for maintaining logs, certifications, and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments at the property to identify potential security threats and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise and review initial incident investigations and promote a timely response for all reported incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, losses, and other relevant data to inform risk management decisions.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective communication and response to emergencies.
  • Develop and implement accident and fire prevention procedures to minimize risks and protect people and property.
  • Promote guest and employee satisfaction through exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Monitor and control risk by identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 1 year experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks.
