Expert Terraform Automation Engineer

Our organization seeks a seasoned Terraform automation expert with extensive experience in Cisco SD-WAN deployments.

Job Summary:

As a skilled Terraform automation engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and optimizing our company's Terraform codebase across multiple data centers and branch offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of Terraform configuration templates, policies, and automation workflows.
  • Assess and provide recommendations for best practice implementations.
  • Deliver high-quality review reports highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Engage in remote knowledge transfer sessions with our technical team to ensure seamless project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on expertise with Terraform modules, variables, templates, and IaC workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN components, including vManage, vSmart, vBond, device templates, and policies.
  • Ability to evaluate and optimize state management strategies, such as remote backends, locking, and workspaces.
  • Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, including Git, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of network automation best practices and SD-WAN deployment models.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote interactions.

Desirable Experience:

  • 7+ years in Infrastructure Automation / Network Automation engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
  • Practical experience with Cisco SD-WAN automation, templates, and policies.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise-scale multi-site WAN deployments is highly desirable.
