Key Responsibilities of a Compliance Officer
  • Periodically upload regulatory submissions to IRDA portal with stakeholder concurrence.
  • Aware of submission processes, including new business submissions, schedules submissions, SP submissions, complaints submissions, and financial statements submissions, with timely submission to regulators.
  • Maintain regulatory registers in the appropriate format, submitted to IRDAI as needed.
  • Communicate regulatory changes, branch openings/closures, directorship updates, and levied charges to regulators.
  • Update IIB Envoy Portal with salesperson and SP details for periodic tracking and review.
  • Renew IRDAI CA/ISNP/Envoy licenses within applicable timelines, coordinating with stakeholders on licensing applicability.
  • Issue NOCs for exited SPs, detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy, and maintain records.
  • Apply for telemarketing licenses, submitting regulatory data to IRDAI according to guidelines.
  • Ensure timely renewals of IRDAI CA, PO, ISNP, Envoy, and other licenses in coordination with Product Owners and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a regulatory checklist, ensuring timely submissions, grievances, and reconciliations with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate monthly reconciliation sign-off with finance, product teams, and insurers, addressing identified gaps.
  • Maintain agreements with insurers, track SLAs, commission structures, and ensure grievance resolution.
  • Track grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinate resolutions with business, product, and branch teams.
  • Provide audit checklists and coordinate with functional audit teams to resolve branch audits.
  • Monitor AML compliance checks and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on AML cases.
  • Bookkeep insurance case litigation, update regulators as needed, and perform other delegated tasks by management and supervisors.
