As a seasoned data engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's data-driven products and services. We are seeking an exceptional professional with expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality data products
  • Design and architect future-state solutions that meet evolving business needs and drive innovation
  • Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical product data models to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in process and performance optimization for data access
  • Develop and implement database tuning and optimisation strategies to improve overall system performance
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced software developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth
  • Support and resolve base product defects and incidents in client testing and production environments
  • Stay up-to-date with recent technology trends and tools, leveraging this knowledge to drive business value and innovation
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive professional data product development experience, including design, development, documentation, and maintenance across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience in designing and implementing data products that drive business value and innovation
  • Strong expertise in creating secure data solutions, including avoidance and mitigation patterns for relevant current and previous OWASP top-10 threats
  • Demonstrable experience in data modelling and tuning SQL query performance to optimize system efficiency
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and efficient data design and access (ORM, JDBC, DAO, SQL)
  • Experience or interest in learning GXP/Computer Systems Validation principles to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
