Culinary Team Member

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking and presentation.

About the Role:

  • Possess strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow recipes and quality standards to prepare high-quality dishes.
  • Show flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Exhibit passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare cold foods such as salads and sandwiches
  2. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers to cook a variety of dishes
  3. Test cooked foods to ensure they meet quality standards
  4. Monitor food quality during preparation and service
  5. Set up and break down workstations to ensure efficient workflow
  6. Serve food in correct portions onto suitable receptacles
  7. Clean and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment to maintain hygiene standards
  8. Verify temperature of appliances and food to ensure it meets required standards
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
