Role Overview:

The role of a Language Specialist involves the globalization and localization of features, as well as testing them using native language expertise. This position requires collaboration with internal teams to address technical and operational challenges.

A key aspect of this role is problem-solving and troubleshooting, which includes identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. Effective communication is also crucial, requiring strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

To excel in this position, one must stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Additionally, continuous evaluation and improvement of processes are essential to enhance the partner experience and drive business growth.

Language Requirements

Native or near-native proficiency in one or more languages is essential for this role. The top priority languages include Punjabi and Hindi, followed by Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Urdu, and Telugu.

Technical Requirements

This role requires a strong understanding of software internationalization and localization processes, as well as cross-site communication challenges. Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, including formulas, data manipulation, and analysis, is also necessary.

Furthermore, the ability to create data visualizations and dashboards to monitor localization progress and efficiency is critical. Adaptability and flexibility in handling dynamic changes and evolving priorities in an agile environment are also essential.

Desirable Skills

A basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) text preprocessing, including tokenization and stopword removal, is beneficial. Part-of-speech tagging and basic analytics skills are also desirable.
