The role of Content Administrator is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of online learning content development tools. This position will work closely with the Global Learning Content Services team to manage training content and optimize the use of Lilly's online learning content development tools.
This role requires a solid understanding of technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong expertise in development tools and knowledge of how content is designed for specific outputs.
- Manage online learning content development tools, packaging online content, storing and managing content strategically on learning servers.
- Develop process for delivery and storage of content.
- Familiarity with Learning Experience Platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Management and Authoring Tools: Develop and maintain content management strategy, guidelines, and workflows. Understand authoring tools and their approach. Upload content to appropriate servers based on file types and LD functional area.
- Collaborate with content creators to locate existing files, organize, and manage learning content within LMS and content servers.
- Ensure content packages are accurate, and content can be accessed by learners within LMS.
- Manage technical specifications for all content authoring tools.
- Own content storage locations, including AWS, LDR, iContent Server, video sites, and Content Upload site.
- Ensure tools and processes comply with Records Information Management requirements while serving as a subject matter expert for RIM requirements.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to learners, instructors, and administrators regarding content issues within the content package, authentication, browser, and LMS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve content issues for accessing content, bookmarking, and course completion promptly.
- Document and maintain knowledge-based articles and job aids for future troubleshooting and reference.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze reports to measure learning effectiveness and identify trends.
- Utilize data to inform improvements to LMS and learning programs.
- Prepare regular reports on LMS and other platforms for usage and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in working as a LMS administrator with a strong understanding of LMS platforms and technologies.
- Experience with LMS such as SAP SuccessFactors Learning iContent.
- Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Project management experience.
- Written and verbal English proficiency.
