Job Description

At Morningstar, our mission is to help investors by developing innovative solutions. We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the growth of our company.

This role will involve working with our team members across disciplines to develop products for investors. You will interact daily with our product managers to understand our domain and create technical solutions that push us forward.

  • Design, develop, and test software applications using .NET technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 3-5 years of experience in software development. They should be proficient in C# and the Microsoft .Net stack, with experience in Web APIs, MVC, Unity, Entity Framework, LINQ, Asynchronous programming, and SQL Server.

A strong understanding of object-oriented design, domain modeling, and building highly scalable and available systems is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should be organized, able to remain productive under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills.
