Finance Manager Job Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of a plant, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Cost Accounting: Maintain standard cost systems, analyze cost variances, and monitor direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
  • Inventory & Fixed Asset Management: Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and controls, as well as track fixed assets, including depreciation and capital expenditures.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies, conduct audits, and implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in cost accounting, plant accounting, or manufacturing finance.
  • Technical Skills: SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems; Excel proficiency.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication.

This role requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work closely with plant managers, production teams, and procurement to provide financial insights and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to the plant leadership team and ensuring that all financial decisions align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
